Dr Andrei Catanchin is a cardiologist & electrophysiologist managing atrial fibrillation and other heart rhythm disorders with medication, devices (ie. pacemakers, defibrillators) and catheter ablation.
His practice is based at Epworth Hospital where he is a member of the Cardiac Sciences Executive Committee, and he also consults at Manningham Medical Centre.
Dr Catanchin has particular expertise with the Arctic Front cryoablation balloon for AF ablation as well as electroanatomic mapping techniques including ‘zero fluoroscopy’ approaches, performing complex ablation procedures for all other arrhythmias and implanting all types of arrhythmia devices.
Dr Catanchin frequently speaks at national and international conferences in his subspecialty and has a special interest in anticoagulation for AF. He is involved with teaching and training at all levels and is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Melbourne.
Dr Yew-Mun Cheong obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne and is a Fellow of both the University of Melbourne, the Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Yew-Mun is an Interventional and General Cardiologist with a main interest in the management of Coronary Artery Disease and associated risk factors. He performs his coronary intervention and procedures via the radial and femoral approaches. He is also involved in other intra-coronary investigational tools i.e. OCT and FFR (pressure wire)
Yew Mun provides assessment and management in a full range of adult cardiology conditions. He is also involved in non-invasive investigations i.e. Echocardiography, Exercise testing, Holter monitoring and BP monitoring
Yew Mun is also actively involved in performing emergency PCI/stent for acute AMI patients
Yew-Mun also provides ongoing education through teaching and training Registrars at Box Hill Hospital where he is a visiting cardiologist. He also has admitting rights to Epworth Hospitals and Knox Hospital for privately insured patients
Yew Mun is able to communicate in Chinese especially Cantonese speaking for non-English speaking patients. Yew Mun continues to provide a high level of holistic approach to his Cardiac patients focusing on the importance of understanding and communication.
Dr. Anthony Dortimer is an Interventional Cardiologist at Warringal Hospital and Austin Health.
Tony graduated in medicine at the University of Melbourne and went onto specialise in cardiology. He trained in cardiology at Pennstate University Medical Centre before returning to practice in Melbourne.
Tony’s clinical interests involve coronary disease and angioplasty and all aspects of general cardiology and hypertension in adults and children. He is a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, a consultant for the Royal Flying Doctors in Victoria and consultant to the Defence Force in Victoria.
Tony provides a very comprehensive cardiology service in all areas of cardiology.
