Dr Asrar Ul Haq (MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ)
Dr Asrar ul Haq is an experienced Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist based in Melbourne, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. Dr Asrar ul Haq’s training involves experience in the United Kingdom where he worked in the prestigious hospitals of Bristol Royal Infirmary and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. In Australia he trained at the Austin and Northern Health in Melbourne and Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth.

He completed his Doctorate at the University of Melbourne with a research project in early Echocardiographic assessment of Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction.

Dr Asrar ul Haq is experienced in all types of angioplasties and coronary interventional procedures through both femoral and radial access. He specialises in the trans-radial approach. A master of his innovative techniques, he has helped establish radial programs in Australian hospitals and is frequently invited to deliver lectures internationally.

He has special interest in complex angioplasties including left main PCI and rotational atherectomy, as well as intracoronary imaging and physiology assessment using state-of-the-art technologies such as OCT, IVUS and FFR.

Dr Vivek Mutha is experienced General Cardiologist, Arrhythmia & Device Specialist, and Lecturer at the University of Melbourne. His  basic physician training was completed at Monash Health. Thereafter he completed cardiology training at Northern Hospital, Austin health and Ballarat. He then went on to complete further training in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing at Monash Health learning complex electrophysiology and device implantation.

Dr Nima Rudd completed his cardiology training at The Alfred Hospital and has extensive experience in all aspects of cardiology including advanced heart failure requiring home inotropes, left and right ventricular assist devices, and management of cardiac transplant patients. He also performs coronary and graft angiography (radial & femoral access) and implants permanent pacemakers.

Dr Rudd is actively involved in research and clinical trials and has a significant research background with numerous scientific presentations, abstracts and publications. He worked as a cardiology research fellow at The Northern Hospital and coordinated numerous cardiovascular clinical trials.

Dr Rudd has been committed to educating junior doctors, medical students and other health professionals on a regular basis and has been senior clinical lecturer at the University of Melbourne since 2014.
